Analysis and solution of the agitating shaft vibration in KR desulphurization process

Abstract：In this paper, analytical method is utilized on calculation the first critical speed of the agitating shaft in a 300 t KR desulphurization station.Also investigate the reasons caused the violent lateral vibration, which are the operating speed approaching the first critical speed, and much bigger centrifugal force because of the abnormal slag accumulation on the blades.Next, Solutions are presented as follow, ①reduce the maximum operating speed, ②improve the whole rigidity of the lifting device, ③optimize the blades shape, ④optimize the agitator total height.
