Abstract：The stress and life of LG-730 cold rolling mill is determined by rational design of dangerous struc-ture.In this paper, four cases of improvement design are conducted on the dangerous structure based on finite element analysis of the mill .It turns out the stress decreased and strength improved through finite element anal -ysis of the improvements .The research is of reference value on structure design for LG-730 frame and the oth-ers.
