Analyze on the neutral layer offset in straightening process of 11-roll straightening machine

Abstract：In this paper , the law of the neutral layer offset is analyzed in straightening process of 11-roller straightening machine .The formula of the neutral layer offset is obtained and the straightening process is simu-lated by the finite element method .Through comparing the deformation of straightening elements , the curve of the neutral layer offset is fitting .It demonstrated that the neutral layer offset is one of the influencing factors in straightening process .The results can provide theoretical references for improving the straightening precision . The curve of the neutral layer offset can be used for establishing the straightening force model .
