Optimal modification of 120 t converter's slag shield system in Tangsteel

Abstract：Converter is key equipment for iron and steel enterprise,which it′s essential for the enterprise′s production status to improve the converter′s service life and running stability.This paper analyses briefly variety failure reasons for the 120 t converter′s slag shield system in Tangsteel.Against the problems of apron plate is vulnerable to erosion and accumulation slag is on both sides of converter trunnion ring,optimization modification for the converter′s slag shield system is performed.Through it protects effectively apron plate and trunnion ring bearings baffle,reduces expenses for maintaining.The bottleneck problems affecting production is solved.
