Innovation of steam jet ejector-water ring vacuum bump for steel vacuum refining

Abstract：The government demands and controls strictly steel industry to save energy,reduce emission,cut cost and improve productivity.In this grim situation,the company has brought to replace the final stage steam jet ejector by the mature technology of water ring vacuum bump,which essentially based on the original tech-nology of steam jet vacuum pump.From the technical and economical aspects,the innovating feasibility has been analyzed in detail.Once it be successful,not only the steam shortage for steal vacuum refining of a domes-tic steel plant could be settled or relieved,but also the secondary steam energy should be recycled effectively through screw expansion for power generater.Consequently,the cost for per ton of steel would be cut down one Yuan per ton at least.Meanwhile,this paper thesis may be used as a reference and foundation for similar steel plants.
