Abstract：The paper suggests two methods for adjusting the mesh clearance in cylindrical worm drive:one is to adjust the meshing center distance of worm gears,the other is to use dual lead cylindrical worm, introducing briefly the principle of adjustment and making a comparison between the characteristics of the two methods.
