Modal analysis of straight side CNC turret press frame
Abstract：Using Lanczos method and by FEM software MARC, a mod al analysisof straight side CNC turret press frame has been conducted and a cal culaticn of the first ten modes has been made. The results show that the original structure is unsteady in operation. Measures are taken and the frame is modified by local reinforcement. The new structure improves the modes and the natural frequencies are increased by 30%, together with a significant improvement of it s dynamic characteristics.
