Abstract:Objective:This study aims to assess the effect of the nursing management model under the Plan-Do-Check-Act(PDCA)cycle on the postoperative recovery of patients who have undergone laparoscopic surgery.Method:From January 2023 to January 2025,90 patients who underwent laparoscopic surgery at the Honghu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were enrolled in this study. After screening based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, they were randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group, with 45 patients in each group. The control group received conventional nursing measures, while the experimental group was managed to use a nursing model centered on the PDCA cycle. The clinical conditions of the two groups, namely the duration of bed rest and the time of first defecation were recorded and compared, the incidence of postoperative adverse events was calculated. In addition, the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)was used to compare the pain levels of the two groups at 2 hours and 8 hours after surgery.Result:The duration of bed rest and the time of first defecation in the research group were significantly shorter than those in the control group. The VAS scores at 2 hours and 8 hours after surgery were lower than those in the control group, and the probability of adverse events was also lower in the research group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of the PDCA cycle based nursing management model in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery can effectively alleviate the patients'pain and has a positive significance for promoting their postoperative recovery.
