Abstract:Objective:To assess the therapeutic efficacy of Jinlida granules in combination with metformin for managing type 2 diabetes mellitus characterized by concurrent qi and yin deficiencies.Method:The clinical data of 130 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with deficiency of both qi and yin admitted to Xiamen Xinglin Hospital from January 2023 to December 2024 were retrospectively collected.According to the previous treatment plan, they were divided into treatment group(n=65)and control group(n=65).The patients in the control group were treated with metformin hydrochloride tablets, and the patients in the treatment group were treated with metformin combined with Jinlida granules. Before and after 12 weeks of treatment, data on fasting blood glucose(FBG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose(PBG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)levels,and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome scores were collected via the electronic medical record system. The therapeutic effects and adverse reactions of the two groups were retrospectively analyzed.Result:After 12 weeks of treatment, the levels of FBG,PBG and HbA1c as well as the TCM syndrome scores in both groups decreased compared to those before treatment.Furthermore, the treatment group exhibited lower values compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The overall treatment efficacy rate was significantly higher in the treatment group than in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).When comparing the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups,no statistically significant difference was observed, with a statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusions:Jinlida granule combined with metformin can reduce the blood glucose level of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with deficiency of both qi and yin, improve the TCM symptoms of patients, and improve the therapeutic effect.
