Abstract:Objective:To investigate the impact of nursing interventions based on Goal Attainment Theory on preventing venous thromboembolism(VTE)in patients with liver failure undergoing artificial liver support therapy.Method:A total of 122 liver failure patients treated with artificial liver support at the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical University between March 2022 and March 2025 were selected as the study objects.According to random number table method, they were divided into a randomization table to either a control group and an observation group. The control group received conventional nursing care, while the observation group received nursing interventions based on Goal Attainment Theory.VTE incidence, coagulation function parameters, quality of life scores, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Result:After the intervention, the observation group exhibited a VTE incidence of 1.64%,significantly lower than the 14.75%in the control group.Coagulation function indicators in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group, whereas quality of life scores and nursing satisfaction were significantly higher. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Nursing intervention based on the achievement theory has a significant effect in preventing VTE in patients with liver failure treated with artificial liver. At the same time,it can improve the coagulation function of patients, enhance their quality of life and nursing satisfaction.
