The Preventive Effect of Modified Taohong Siwu Tang and Four Substances Decoction Combined with Auricular Seed Pressing on Deep Vein Thrombosis in Elderly Patients Following Hip Fracture Surgery

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the preventive effect of the addition and subtraction of Taohong Siwu Tang combined with auricular pressure seeds on deep vein thrombosis(DVT)in elderly postoperative hip fracture patients.Method:Eighty elderly patients with postoperative hip fractures admitted to Zhenjiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital between January 2018 and January 2023 were selected as the study objects and randomized via a random number table into a control group(conventional treatment)and an observation group(conventional treatment plus modified Taohong Siwu Tang combined with auricular acupressure),with 40 cases in each group.Hemodynamic parameters,coagulation function indicators,and D-dimer levels were compared between the two groups pre-intervention,7 days post-intervention,and 14 days post-intervention.The incidence of postoperative DVT was observed,and quality of life was assessed using the Quality of Life scale before and after the intervention.Result:At both 7 and 14 days post-intervention,the observation group demonstrated significantly lower levels in all hemodynamic parameters,D-dimer(D-D),and the incidence of postoperative DVT compared to the control group,while showing significantly higher coagulation function indicators and quality of life scores.These differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The addition and subtraction of Taohong Siwu Tang combined with auricular pressure seeds can effectively improve the haemodynamics and coagulation function of elderly postoperative hip fracture patients,reduce the risk of deep vein thrombosis,and improve the quality of life.
