Abstract:Objective:To study the efficacy and safety of paclitaxel drug-coated balloons(DCB)in the treatment of long-segment occlusion of the inferior knee artery in diabetes.Method:44 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and long-segment occlusion of the inferior knee artery admitted to Mindong Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from August 2022 to August 2024 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into the observation group(DCB group)and the control group(PTA group)based on whether drug-coated balloons(DCB)were used during the operation.Among them,21 patients(28 affected limbs)received DCB treatment, and 23 patients(32 affected limbs)received percutaneous transluminal angioplasty(PTA)+stent angioplasty. The Trans-Atlantic Inter-Society Consensus(TASC)Ⅱ classification C and D types. The intraoperative treatment parameters were recorded. The lumen stenosis rates, the postoperative clinical efficacy and the exercise capacity of the two groups before and after the operation were compared.Result:There was no statistically significant difference in the average target lesion vascular length between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).The primary patency rate of the observation group at 6 months and 12 months was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The observation group was superior to the control group in terms of motor ability comparison, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the operation time, dilation pressure, dilation time and contrast agent dosage between the two groups(P>0.05).No deaths occurred during the follow-up period in both the observation group and the control group. Conclusion:The drug-coated balloon dilation and shaping group has a better effect on target vessel revascularization in long segment occlusion of the inferior knee artery in diabetes, and the clinical efficacy is good.
