Abstract:Objective:To explore the clinical effect of vertebroplasty combined with posterior pedicle internal fixation in the treatment of patients with thoracolumbar spinal osteoporotic fractures and its influence on their stress response.Method:A total of 98 patients with thoracolumbar osteoporotic spinal fractures admitted to the hospital from July 2022 to September 2024 were selected.By random number table method, they were divided into 49 cases in each group. The control group was treated with posterior transpedicle internal fixation, while the observation group was treated with vertebroplasty combined with posterior transpedicle internal fixation. The stress index levels of the two groups before the operation and 7 days after the operation, the pain status[Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)scores]before the operation and 7 days after the operation, the lumbar function[Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)]scores before the operation and 2 months after the operation, and the relevant treatment indicators(kyphosis Cobb Angle, spinal stenosis rate, anterior edge compression rate of the vertebral body)before the operation and 2 months after the operation, and the postoperative complications were compared.Result:On the 7th day after operation, the observation group epinephrine level,β-endorphin level, and cortisol level were lower than control group(P<0.05).VAS score of the observation group, and the lumbar function score was lower 2 months after operation(P<0.05).Two months after operation, the kyphosis Cobb Angle of the observation group, the spinal canal stenosis rate and the anterior vertebral compression rate were better than control group(P<0.05).Six months after the operation, compared with the control group, the incidence of complications in the observation group was lower(P<0.05).Conclusion:Vertebroplasty combined with posterior pedicle internal fixation in the treatment of thoracolumbar spinal osteoporotic fractures can effectively reduce the stress response of patients, relieve pain, improve lumbar function and fractured indicators, and has few complications.
