Abstract:Objective:To investigate the incidence and influencing factors of community-acquired pneumonia in elderly communities.Method:One hundred and ten elderly patients with community-acquired pneumonia admitted to the sample hospital from January 2020 to January 2025 were selected as the observation group, and 110 elderly non-community-acquired pneumonia patients matched by community and gender during the same period were selected as the control group.Age,BMI,nutritional status(albumin level),history of dust occupation, smoking status, alcohol consumption, history of pneumonia within 1 year, history of cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and malignancy were compared between the two groups to analyse the factors influencing the occurrence of community-acquired pneumonia in the elderly by logistic regression.Result:There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in terms of age, body mass index(BMI),alcohol consumption, history of cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease, hypertension,or malignant tumours(P>0.05).The proportion of participants in the observation group with albumin levels<35 g/L,occupational exposure to dust, smoking history, history of pneumonia within the past year, respiratory diseases, and diabetes was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis revealed that albumin<35 g/L,occupational exposure to dust, smoking status, history of pneumonia within the past year, respiratory diseases, and diabetes mellitus were significant risk factors for community-acquired pneumonia in the elderly. Conclusion:The occurrence of community-acquired pneumonia in the elderly is strongly influenced by a number of factors, including basic personal circumstances, living habits and diseases, which can be used as a reference for the development of preventive and control measures for the disease.
