Abstract:Objective:To explore the relationship between adenosine triphosphate binding cassette transporter B subfamily member 1(ABCB1),plasmin activator inhibitor 1(PAI-1)and the risk of steroid-induced femoral head necrosis in Uyghur patients with autoimmune diseases.Method:25 patients with hormone-induced femoral head necrosis due to autoimmune diseases who were treated in the First People's Hospital of Kashgar Prefecture from January 2022 to May 2024 were selected as the study group, and 29 patients without hormone-induced femoral head necrosis due to autoimmune diseases were selected as the control group. The clinical data of the two groups were analyzed, and the differences in the polymorphisms of ABCB1 and PAI-1 genes were determined by first-generation sequencing.Result:There was no statistically significant difference in the general clinical data such as gender, age and BMI between the two groups(P>0.05).The comparison of polymorphisms at the rs1045642 locus of the ABCB1 gene in the two groups showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The proportion of C/C genotypes at the rs1045642 locus of the ABCB1 gene in the two groups reached 68.00%.The comparison of polymorphisms at the rs1799768 locus of the PAI-1 gene in the two groups. There was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:The polymorphism of the ABCB1 gene is associated with the occurrence of steroid-induced femoral head necrosis in patients with autoimmune diseases, while the polymorphism of the PAI-1 gene has no significant relationship with the occurrence of steroid-induced femoral head necrosis.Further verification is needed in a larger sample.
