Research on the Construction and Optimisation of a Competency Model for Ophthalmic Day Surgery Surgeons

Abstract:Objective:By analysing the job responsibilities of ophthalmic day surgeons,industry standards and norms,motivation for quality improvement,and career trends,the core qualities of professional competence for ophthalmic day surgeons were identified,and a systematic and comprehensive model structure was designed.An expert panel method was used to calibrate and optimise the model and the importance of the model's core qualities was tested through a Likert 5-point scale questionnaire.The model consists of motivation to improve,core qualities and key aspects,and the results of the survey indicate a high level of model acceptance.Motivation forms the foundation for enhancing professional competence,and core competencies are jointly constituted by professional knowledge and skills,communication and coordination abilities,professional ethics and standards,and continuous learning and innovation.Key elements permeate the entire improvement process.This model holds significant importance for elevating the quality of healthcare services and fostering the innovative development of ophthalmic day surgery.
