The Efficacy of Budesonide Enteric-Coated Capsules Combined with Probiotic Preparations in the Treatment of Patients with IgA Nephropathy

Abstract：Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of budesonide enteric-coated capsules combined with probiotic preparations in the treatment of immunoglobulin A(IgA)nephropathy patients.Method:A total of 85 patients with IgA nephropathy who received treatment at Putian 95 th Hospital between May 2023 and December 2024 were enrolled.They were randomly assigned using a random number table to either the combination therapy group(n=43)or the control group(n=42).The control group received budesonide enteric-coated capsules,while the combination group received budesonide enteric-coated capsules combined with probiotic preparations.The efficacy,changes in renal function before and after treatment,and the overall incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result:After treatment,the combined group achieved an overall response rate of 93.02%,higher than the 76.19%in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Serum uric acid(UA),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),and serum creatinine(Scr)levels decreased in both groups compared to before treatment,and the combined group was relatively lower,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Combination therapy with budesonide enteric-coated capsules and probiotic preparations enhances treatment efficacy in patients with IgA nephropathy and strengthens the improvement in renal function.
