Abstract:Objective:To investigate the efficacy of small intestine catheterization for the treatment of acute colon obstruction in patients with intestinal obstruction.Method:Ninety patients with acute colon obstruction admitted to Youyang County People's Hospital in Chongqing from January to December 2024 were randomly divided into two groups, with 45 cases in each group. The control group and the observation group were treated with traditional open surgery and small intestine catheterization for intestinal obstruction, respectively. The levels of inflammatory factors[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)],total effective rate of treatment, and incidence of postoperative complications were evaluated and compared before and after treatment.Result:Three days after surgery, the levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was, slightly lower than the control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of acute colon obstruction patients with intestinal obstruction using small intestine catheterization has high efficacy and safety.
