Abstract:Objective:To explore the application of health belief-based intervention in the surgical treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures(OVCF).Method:A total of 90 patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures who underwent surgical treatment in Xuzhou Mining Group General Hospital from January 2022 to December 2024 were included in the study.Based on convenience sampling, patients were divided into a control group(n=45)receiving routine care and an experimental group(n=45)receiving health belief-based interventions in addition to routine care. The differences in vertebral body function(Cobb Angle, anterior vertebral height),pain status[Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score],sleep status[Sleep Disorder Scale(SDRS)score],self-efficacy[Osteoporosis Self-Efficacy Scale(OSES)score],and health belief(Osteoporosis Health Belief Scale)score were compared between the two groups.Result:After the intervention, the experimental group showed a significantly smaller Cobb angle and increased anterior vertebral height compared with the control group(P<0.05).VAS and SDRS scores were significantly lower in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.05).OSES scores and health belief scores in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Health belief-guided interventions can effectively relieve postoperative pain in patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures, promote recovery of vertebral function and sleep quality, enhance self-efficacy,and improve health belief levels. The intervention shows promising clinical application value.
