Abstract:Objective:Objective To analyze the correlation between breast feeding self-efficacy,social support and maternal role adaptation in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitu(GDM).Method:Convenience sampling was used to select 198 GDM pregnant women admitted to the Xinglin Branch of First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from January to December 2024 as the research subjects. The Chinese version of the Breastfeeding Self Efficacy Short Form(BSES-SF),Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS),and Maternal Angle Adaptation Questionnaire(RAQ)were used for cross-sectional survey, and correlation analysis and influencing factor analysis were conducted.Result:A total of 198 GDM mothers were included, with a BSES-SF score of(36.21±2.49)points.Among them,45 cases(22.73%)had low self-efficacy in breastfeeding, and 153 cases(77.27%)had good self-efficacy in breastfeeding. The PSSS score was(40.89±3.77)points,and the RAQ score was(39.77±3.28)points.Logistic regression analysis showed that middle school education and below, monthly family income<6 000 yuan, cesarean section, inverted or flattened nipples, low PSSS score, and low RAQ score were risk factors affecting the self-efficacy of GDM mothers in breastfeeding, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the BSES-SF score of GDM mothers was positively correlated with PSSS score and RAQ score, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The self-efficacy of GDM mothers in breastfeeding is at a moderate level, and is closely positively correlated with social support and maternal role adaptation. This should be highly valued in clinical practice.
