Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of non-invasive continuous positive airway pressure(CPAP)intermittent therapy on patients with severe bronchial asthma and its impact on blood gas levels.Method:86 patients with severe bronchial asthma of Zhangzhou Third Hospital from January to December 2024 were randomly selected, and divided into two groups. One group received routine treatment(43 cases, control group),while the remaining group received intermittent treatment in non-invasive continuous positive pressure ventilation(CPAP)mode(43 cases, observation group).Changes in patient symptom improvement time, blood gas levels, respiratory function, and lung function of the two groups were compared.Result:The improvement time of symptoms in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group. The levels of partial pressure of oxygen in blood, oxygen saturation in blood, respiratory function and lung function were higher than those in the control group, while the partial pressure of carbon dioxide in blood was lower than that in the control group. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Intermittent treatment with non-invasive continuous positive airway pressure(CPAP)mode for patients with severe bronchial asthma can improve blood gas levels, enhance respiratory function, promote lung function recovery, and rapidly alleviate various symptoms.
