Abstract:Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect and safety profile of ShiliuBuxue Syrup for renal anemia in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis.Method:In this randomized controlled trial,64 patients with renal anemia undergoing regular maintenance hemodialysis in Baoying County People's Hospital from January 2022 to November 2024 were equally allocated to control(n=32)or experimental(n=32)groups through random number table method. The control group received standard therapy with erythropoietin and Iron Sucrose, while the experimental group was treated with ShiliuBuxue Syrup in addition to the control group. After 60 days of treatment, the primary endpoints included clinical response rates, changes in anemia parameters[haemoglobin(Hb),red blood cell(RBC),hematocrit(HCT)],iron metabolism marker[serum ferritin(SF)]and anemia symptom scores were observed.Adverse events were monitored throughout the study period.Result:Compared with the control group, the experimental group showed a increase in the total clinical effective rate following the 60-day treatment period(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the anemia-related indicators such as Hb,RBC,HCT and SF in the experimental group showed more significant improvement in anemia symptoms and lower total incidence of adverse reactions. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:ShiliuBuxue Syrup,as an adjunctive therapy, leads to significant enhancement of the therapeutic effects of erythropoietin and iron in renal anemia patients on hemodialysis. This treatment regimen leads to significant improvements inanemia-related parameters and iron metabolism, while markedly alleviating anemia-related clinical symptoms. The treatment does not elevate the risk of adverse events and maintains with a favorable safety profile.
