Abstract:Objective:To explore the clinical features and prognostic factors of children with secondary bronchopneumonia after adenovirus infection(AVI).Method:The clinical data of 120 children with secondary bronchopneumonia after AVI who were treated in the Quanzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2023 to December 2024 were reviewed.According to the prognosis, the children were assigned to the favorable prognosis group(n=51)and the unfavorable prognosis group(n=69).Clinical information of both groups was collected, and clinical features of the two groups were compared.Logistic regression model was used to analyze the prognostic factors for children with bronchopneumonia after AVI.Result:There were no significant differences between the unfavorable prognosis group and the favorable prognosis group in clinical data such as gender, duration of fever, peak fever, and use of mechanical ventilation(P>0.05).Compared with the favorable prognosis group, the age of the unfavorable prognosis group was significantly lower, and the proportion of dyspnea and hypoxemia was significantly higher, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the favorable prognosis group, the clinical features such as bronchiectasis, bronchial wall thickening, pleural effusion and mosaic perfusion signs in the unfavorable prognosis group were significantly higher, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that age, dyspnea, hypoxemia, and mosaic perfusion were independent risk factors affecting the prognosis of children with secondary bronchopneumonia after AVI(P<0.05).Conclusion:Children who develop bronchopneumonia after AVI are generally young, with obvious clinical manifestations. They are often accompanied by persistent or intermittent fever, with a peak fever of about 39℃.Their prognosis is greatly influenced by age, dyspnea, hypoxemia, and mosaic perfusion.
