Effects of Astragalus Ginseng and Yiqi Drops Pills Combined with Metoprolol in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease(CHD)with Ventricular Premature Beats

Abstract：Objective:To investigate the effects of Astragalus Ginseng and Yiqi Drops combined with metoprolol on ventricular premature beats in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD).Method:82 patients with ventricular premature beats(VPBs)due to CHD admitted to Zhangzhou People's Hospital,Fujian Province,from March 2023 to March 2025 were enrolled.Randomized using a random number table,they were divided into a conventional group(metoprolol)and an observation group(metoprolol+Astragalus Ginseng and Yiqu Drops),with 41 patients in each group.After 4 weeks of treatment,therapeutic efficacy,cardiac function,vascular endothelial function,and adverse reactions were compared between groups.Result:After treatment,the observation group demonstrated significantly higher overall response rates,LVEF,VEGF,and NO levels than the conventional group,while exhibiting significantly lower LVESD,LVEDD,and ET-1 levels(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was higher in the observation group but showed no statistically significant difference compared to the conventional group(P>0.05).Conclusion:The combination of metoprolol,and Astragalus Ginseng and Yiqu Drops Pills is safe and effective for treating ventricular premature beats in CHD patients,protecting vascular endothelial function and improving cardiac function.
