Retrospective Report Analysis of 136 Cases of Serious Adverse Drug Reactions from 2014 to 2024

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the characteristics and patterns of serious adverse drug reactions(ADRs)in a tertiary hospital,identify high-risk drugs and populations,reduce the occurrence of serious ADRs,and provide reference for rational drug use in clinical practice.Method:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 136 severe ADR reports reported from January 1,2014 to January 1,2024.The types of reports,occupations of the reporting personnel,patient gender,age,route of administration,drug type,involvement of systems/organs,clinical manifestations,and outcomes were statistically analyzed.Result:Out of 136 cases of severe ADR,54 were male(39.71%)and 82 were female(60.29%).The occupational statistical subject of the serious ADR reporter was the doctor,with 105 cases reported(77.21%).The main types of drugs involved in severe ADR were traditional Chinese medicine preparations in 62 cases(26.96%).The main organ/system damage involved was skin and accessory damage in 107 cases(59.12%),systemic damage in 27 cases(13.74%),and blood system damage in 23 cases(12.64%).Conclusion:Medical personnel should attach great importance to the prevention and management of severe ADR,strengthen clinical monitoring of traditional Chinese medicine preparations and antibiotics,optimize medication plans for elderly patients,and effectively reduce severe ADR happen.
