Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of moxibustion combined with a sound-light-vibration insomnia treatment device in treating refractory insomnia of the heart deficiency and gallbladder timidity type.Method:From April to November 2024,ninety-six patients diagnosed with refractory insomnia of heart deficiency and gallbladder timidity type who met the inclusion criteria, were selected from Xuzhou First People's Hospital, with 48 cases in each group. The control group received conventional treatments, while the observation group received additional moxibustion combined with the insomnia treatment device. The treatment lasted 4 weeks, after 4 weeks clinical efficacy was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item(GAD-7)scale,and the Mos 36-item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36).Safety indicators and adverse reactions were recorded.Follow-up via telephone was conducted in the 7th week to evaluate efficacy and safety indicators and record any adverse reactions.Result:The overall efficacy rate was significantly higher in the observation group compared to the control group. Both groups showed a decrease in PSQI scores after 4 weeks of treatment, with the observation group showing greater improvement compared to the control group.GAD-7 scores also decreased in both groups, with the observation group showing better improvement compared to the control group.SF-36 scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group post-treatment,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).No significant safety issues or adverse reactions were observed in either group throughout the study, indicating good safety. Conclusion:Compared to conventional therapy alone, moxibustion combined with a sound-light-vibration insomnia treatment device provides better clinical efficacy and demonstrates good safety.
