Abstract:Objective:To explore the application of negative pressure suction sheaths in treating upper ureteral and renal stone patients via retrograde intrarenal surgery with flexible ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy.Method:From January 2022 to December 2024,50 upper ureteral renal stone patients at Sihong Hospital were chosen.Using 1:1 alternate grouping, they were divided into two groups. The control group(25 patients)had simple RIRS with flexible ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy. The observation group(25 patients)received RIRS with the addition of negative pressure suction sheaths. After treatment,a thorough comparison of treatment effects were compared.Result:The observation group had notably shorter stone-crushing times and hospital stays than the control group.Their urine-clearing and first-ambulation times were earlier than the control group, with differences statistically significant(P<0.05).On the 1st day after operation, the observation group's stone-free rate was higher than the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).30 d after operation, there were no significant differences in stone-free rates existed between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Negative pressure suction sheath combined with transurethral flexible ureteroscopic laser lithotripsy has the advantages of short surgical lithotripsy time, high effective rate of stone removal, and high safety.
