Abstract:Objective:This study aims to investigate the effect of combined general anesthesia with ultrasound-guided cervical vagus nerve block on hemodynamics and postoperative nausea/vomiting(PONV)in patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy.Method:A total of 80 patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy were selected from the Sixth Division Hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps from January to June 2024,and grouped according to different anesthesia methods.40 patients in observation group received ultrasound-guided cervical vagus nerve block(injected with 3 mL of 0.5%ropivacaine)combined with general anesthesia. The control group of 40 patients received ultrasound-guided cervical vagus nerve block(injected with 3 mL of normal saline)combined with general anesthesia. The perioperative hemodynamics[heart rate(HR),mean arterial pressure(MAP)],incidence and severity of PONV in both groups were compared.Result:The MAP and HR at T0 and T1 in both groups had no obvious changes, which showed no statistical difference(P>0.05).The observation group demonstrated lower MAP and HR at T2,T3 and T4 compared with the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with laparoscopic cholecystectomy, the combined regimen of ultrasound-guided cervical vagus nerve block plus general anesthesia shows significant impact on stabilizing hemodynamics and decreasing the incidence and severity of PONV.
