Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine Emotional Care Combined with Auricular Acupressure on Sleep Quality in COPD Patients with Lung-Kidney Qi Deficiency

Abstract：Objective:To investigates the effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)emotional care combined with auricular point application on sleep quality and anxiety and depression states in COPD patients with lung-kidney qi deficiency.Method:A total of 118 COPD patients with lung and kidney qi deficiency admitted to the Nanning Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2024 to January 2025 were selected as the research subjects.A randomized controlled trial design was adopted,and the patients were randomly assigned to the control group and the observation group,with 59 cases in each group.The control group received standard routine care,while the intervention group received a comprehensive intervention of TCM emotional care and auricular point application on the basis of routine care.The entire intervention process lasted for 8 weeks.Before and after the intervention,the Self-Rating Sleep Scale(SRSS),Hamilton Anxiety and Depression Scales(HAMA and HAMD),and Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy-Fatigue Scale(FACIT-FS)were used to comprehensively assess the patients'sleep quality,anxiety and depression levels,and fatigue degree.Result:After the intervention,the SRSS,HAMA,HAMD and FACIT-FS scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The comprehensive intervention measure of traditional Chinese medicine emotional care combined with auricular point pressing has a significant positive effect on improving the sleep status of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)of lung and kidney qi deficiency.This therapy effectively alleviated anxiety and depression and reduced fatigue levels.
