Abstract:Objective:To explore the expression of Cofilin1 and basic helical-ring-helix transcription factor 1(Twist1)in esophageal cancer tissues and their relationship with the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of patients.Method:68 patients with esophageal cancer who were admitted to Taizhou People's Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University from January 2018 to February 2022 were selected. To detect the expression of Cofilin1 and Twist1 in the tumor tissues of patients, statistically analyze the clinicopathological data, and analyze the relationship between protein expression and clinicopathological characteristics as well as prognosis.Result:The expressions of Cofilin1 and Twist1 in tumor tissues of 68 patients with esophageal cancer were correlated with clinical stage and whether lymph node metastasis occurred, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).It was not related to the patient's age and gender,as well as the pathological grade, degree of differentiation and location size of the tumor, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Higher expression levels of Cofilin1 and Twist1 were closely related to the shorter overall survival of patients, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The elevated positive expression rates of Cofilin1 and Twist1 in esophageal cancer tumor tissues are closely related to clinical stage, lymph node metastasis and poor prognosis.
