Study on the Control Effect of Mirena Le on Postoperative Recurrence of Endometrial Polyps and Its Impact on Estrogen and Progesterone Receptors

Abstract：Objective:To study the control effect of Mirena on the recurrence of endometrial polyps after surgery and its influence on estrogen and progesterone receptors.Method:80 patients who underwent endometrial polyp surgery at Honghu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2022 to December 2024 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into the control group(n=40,treated with conventional norethinol tablets after surgery)and the observation group(n=40,treated with Mirena after surgery)according to the random number table method.The endometrial thickness,menstrual levels,recurrence conditions and estrogen and progesterone levels of the two groups were compared.Result:Prior to treatment,no notable disparity in endometrial thickness or menstrual flow volume was observed between the two groups.Following treatment,both groups exhibited improvements.Nevertheless,the observation group displayed a thinner endometrial lining and reduced menstrual flow compared to the control group,with these differences attaining statistical significance(P<0.05).Additionally,the postoperative recurrence rate of endometrial polyps was lower in the observation group than in the control group,with the variance also reaching statistical significance(P<0.05).Before initiating treatment,the levels of estrogen receptor(ER)and progesterone receptor(PR)did not significantly differ between the two cohorts.Post-treatment,both groups experienced a decline in ER and PR levels,with the observation group demonstrating lower ER and PR concentrations than the control group,and these discrepancies were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The use of Mirena after endometrial polyp surgery can effectively improve the thickness of the endometrium and menstrual flow,reduce the recurrence rate and the levels of estrogen and progesterone receptors,and has significant clinical efficacy.
