Analysis of Short-term Pain Development Trajectory and Influencing Factors of Patients Undergoing Hysteroscopic Endometrial Polyp Removal Surgery

Abstract:Objective:To explore the short-term pain trajectories and influencing factors of patients after hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy(HEP).Method:A total of 200 endometrial polyp(EP)patients undergoing HEP in Affiliated Hospital of Putian University from October 2020 to November 2024 were enrolled.According to the short-term pain relief trajectory of EP patients after surgery, they can be divided into the low pain fluctuation group(n=88),the moderate pain reduction group(n=67),and the high pain gradual reduction group(n=45).The Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)was used to evaluate the degree of pain at multiple time points after the operation, and the basic information of patients and surgery-related data and other data were collected.Latent growth modeling and statistical analyses were employed to identify pain trajectory patterns and influencing factors.Result:The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that intraspinal anesthesia,no pain management, endometrial thickness and the number of polyps were independent influencing factors for the potential categories of short-term pain trajectories in EP patients after surgery(P<0.05).Conclusion:3 distinct short-term pain trajectories were identified in EP patients after HEP.This study provides a basis for early identification of high-risk patients and personalized pain interventions to enhance postoperative recovery and quality of life.
