Clinical Efficacy of Ambroxol Hydrochloride in Treating Mycoplasma Pneumonia
DING Yan
Abstract:Objective:To investigate the therapeutic efficacy of ambroxol hydrochloride in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia and its effects on airway mucosal function and immune inflammatory factors.Method:A retrospective review was conducted of clinical data from 80 patients with Mycoplasma pneumonia treated at the Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital Bijie Hospital between January 2023 and October 2024.Based on treatment regimens, patients were divided into a control group(n=40,treated with azithromycin)and an observation group(n=40,treated with azithromycin plus ambroxol hydrochloride). The clinical efficacy, time to symptom improvement, fiberoptic bronchoscopy findings, and changes in immune and inflammatory marker levels were compared between the two groups.Result:Compared with the control group, the observation group demonstrated a higher overall response rate, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The time required for symptom relief was shorter in the observation group than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After treatment, the observation group demonstrated superior fiberoptic bronchoscopic findings to the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment, the observation group exhibited statistically significant reductions in C-reactive protein(CRP)and suppressor T cells(CD8+),along with increases in helper T cells(CD4+),CD4+/CD8+ratios,and immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin G(IgG),and immunoglobulin M(IgM)levels compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ambroxol hydrochloride significantly improves airway mucosal function, reduces inflammatory responses, and modulates immune function in patients with mycoplasma pneumonia, demonstrating remarkable clinical efficacy.
