Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of trypsin+silver sulfate dressings in the treatment of pressure injuries(PI)using vacuum-sealed drainage(VSD).Method:A total of 60 patients with pressure ulcers admitted to Qinzhou First People's Hospital from October 2022 to May 2024 were enrolled.Using a random number table, they were divided into a control group(n=30,VSD+0.9%sodium chloride solution irrigation)and an evaluation group(n=30,VSD+trypsin+silver sulfate dressing+0.9%sodium chloride solution irrigation).and an observation group(30 cases,VSD+trypsin+silver sulfadiazine dressing+0.9%sodium chloride solution irrigation). The trauma area, positive culture rate, wound area reduction rate, and satisfaction were evaluated between groups.Result:On the day of surgery, there was no statistically significant difference between groups in wound area or positive culture rate(P>0.05).On 7 d and 14 d,the observation group exhibited a significantly lower wound area than the control group, and a lower positive culture rate than the control group, and higher wound area contraction rate than the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in overall satisfaction rates between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:During negative pressure wound therapy for pressure injuries, the application of VSD dressings combined with trypsin and silver sulfadiazine promotes rapid reduction in wound area, lowers positive culture rates, enhances wound contraction rates, and fosters harmonious nurse-patient relationships.
