The Influence of Acupuncture Therapy for Activating Brain and Resuscitation and Schuell Speech Rehabilitation Training on Language Function in Patients with Post-Stroke Aphasia

Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of acupuncture therapy for activating brain and resuscitation and Schuell speech rehabilitation training in patients with post-stroke aphasia(PSA).Method:A total of 114 patients with PSA admitted to the Rehabilitation Department of Suzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the research subjects.All selected cases were assigned to control group and observation group according to with random numerical table,with 57 cases in each group.The patients of control group were provided with Schuell speech rehabilitation training,and the patients of observation group were additionally treated with Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture.The comparisons were performed on clinical efficacy,language function,TCM syndrome score and quality of life in both groups.Result:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the oral expression score,the listening and speech comprehension score,the reading ability score and the total score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The scores of mouth deviation,speech difficulty or non-speech,and sensory regression of observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the observation group showed higher scores of quality of life in all aspects after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of acupuncture therapy for activating brain and resuscitation and Schuell speech rehabilitation training can improve the therapeutic effect of PSA patients,accelerate the recovery of language function,and reduce the impact of the disease on life.
