Abstract:Objective:To explore the effects of interferon α-2b treatment on the symptom improvement, serum indicators and immune function of children with respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)bronchiolitis.Method:A total of 96 patients with RSV bronchiolitis admitted to Nansha District Maternal and Child Health Hospital from November 2023 to October 2024 were selected and divided into the conventional group and the interferon group by random number table method, with 48 cases in each group. The conventional group was given conventional treatment, and the interferon group was treated with interferon α-2b.After one week of treatment, the therapeutic effects, symptoms, serum indicators and immune function indicators of the two groups were compared.Result:The effective rate of treatment in the interferon group was higher than that in the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the disappearance time of wheezing, cough, fever and wet rales in the interferon group was shorter than that in the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of eosinophil cationic protein(ECP),cysteine leukotriene(CysLTs),serum pulmonary surfactant protein D(SP-D),and interleukin-4(IL-4)in the interferon group after treatment were lower than those in the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)in the interferon group was higher than that in the conventional group after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the treatment of immunoglobulin A(IgA)and immunoglobulin M(IgM)between the two groups(P>0.05).The immunoglobulin G(IgG)in the interferon group was higher than that in the conventional group after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The immunoglobulin E(IgE)in the interferon group was lower than that in the conventional group after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Interferon α-2b treatment can effectively improve the symptoms and serum inflammatory factor levels of children with RSV bronchiolitis, enhance the therapeutic effect, and regulate the immune function of the children.
