Abstract:Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of applying micro-implant anchorage in orthodontic treatment.Method:80 patients who received orthodontic treatment in Guangxi Hospital of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from December 2020 to December 2024 were selected and randomly divided into a study group and a control group, with 50 cases in each group. The group that received orthodontic treatment with micro-implant anchorage was the study group, and the group that received orthodontic treatment with external oral arch anchorage was the control group. The total effective rate, clinical measurement indicators, bite force, chewing efficiency, incidence of complications and patient satisfaction were compared.Result:Compared with the control group, the study group demonstrated higher overall efficacy rates, satisfaction levels, bite force, and masticatory efficiency, along with superior clinical measurement indicators and fewer complications, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of micro-implant anchorage for orthodontic treatment can enhance the effective rate of treatment, significantly improve the alignment of facial bones and teeth, increase bite force and chewing efficiency, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve patient satisfaction. It has a promising clinical application prospect.
