Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect on patients with diabetes mellitus and urinary tract infection receiving cefixime plus levofloxacin.Method:Adopting a coin tossing method,100 patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with urinary tract infection admitted to Zichang People's Hospital from January to December 2024 were randomly classified into control group(n=50)and observation group(n=50).The control group received levofloxacin treatment, while the study group was added with cefixime on this basis. The clinical symptom improvement time(urinary frequency and urgency improvement time, urinary pain improvement time),urine culture negative conversion time, urine routine indexes(white blood cell count, red blood cell count)and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result:After treatment, compared with control group, the improvement time of urinary frequency and urgency, improvement time of urinary pain and negative conversion time of urine culture in observation group were shorter(P<0.05).The white blood cell count and red blood cell count in the two groups were decreased, and the counts were lower in observation group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Combined application of cefixime and levofloxacin can accelerate the clinical symptom relief, and improve the urine routine indexes in patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with urinary tract infection, with no increase of adverse reactions.
