Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Method:A total of 201 CHD patients treated with PCI in Enshi Huiyi Rheumatology Hospital from February 2022 to February 2024 were selected and divided into two groups by random number table method, group B(n=100)received conventional drug treatment, and group A(n=101)was treated with metoprolol succinate extended-release tablets on the basis of group B.The clinical efficacy, cardiac function, hemodynamics, myocardial enzymes, and major adverse cardiovascular events in the two groups were observed.Result:The total effective rate of group A was higher than that of group B,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 6 months of treatment, the left ventricular ejection fraction and 6-minute walk test in the two groups increased compared with the time of admission and were higher in group A than in group B,the left ventricular end-diastolic diameter and left ventricular end-systolic inner diameter in the two groups decreased compared with those at admission, and group A was lower than that in group B,the mean left atrial pressure, mean pulmonary artery pressure, and mean mitral valve pressure in the two groups decreased compared with the time of admission, and group A was lower than group B,the incidence of recurrent angina and heart failure in group A were significantly lower than those in group B,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the incidence of stent restenosis, stroke, and sudden cardiac death between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The application of metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets in CHD patients undergoing PCI can improve hemodynamics and myocardial enzyme levels, promote the recovery of cardiac function, reduce the incidence of recurrent angina and heart failure, and improve clinical efficacy.
