Abstract:Objective:Observation of the surgical effect of ultrasound-guided percutaneous microwave ablation in the clinical treatment of benign thyroid nodules.Method:284 patients with benign thyroid nodules from Shenzhen Hengsheng Hospital from July 2021 to July 2024 were selected as the study subjects. The grouping method was envelope randomization. The control group(142 cases)underwent conventional endoscopic unilateral thyroidectomy, while the study group(142 cases)underwent ultrasound-guided percutaneous microwave ablation. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared.Result:The appearance satisfaction, postoperative free triiodothyronine(FT3)levels,free tetraiodothyronine(FT4)levels and total thyroxine(TT4)levels of the study group were all higher than those of the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).The postoperative thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)levels, adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH)levels, aldosterone(ALD)levels, cortisol(Cor)levels, total white blood cell count(WBC)levels, tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)levels,C-reactive protein(CRP)levels, and pain index(VAS)scores of the study group were all lower than those of the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).The improvement of perioperative indicators in the research group was better than that in the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).Postoperative complications are comparable between the two groups with no signigicant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:Ultrasound guided percutaneous microwave ablation for the treatment of benign thyroid nodules can promote postoperative appearance satisfaction, reduce thyroid function damage, alleviate postoperative traumatic stress and inflammatory reactions, improve rehabilitation efficiency, and improve prognosis.
