Abstract:Objective:To analyze the effect of repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)combined with speech training on the rehabilitation outcomes of children with autism and intellectual disability(MR).Method:A total of 91 children with autism and MR admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Putian University from January 2022 to April 2024 were randomly divided into control group(n=46)and observation group(n=45)using a random number table. The control group received speech training, and based on this, and the observation group received rTMS intervention for 3 months. Before and after intervention, the severity of core symptoms[Childhood Autism Rating Scale(CARS)],intellectual development level[Chinese Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children(C-WISC)assessment],and behavioral status[Autism Behavior Checklist for Children(ABC)]between the two groups were compared.Result:After intervention, the CARS and ABC scores of both groups decreased, and the observation group was lower than the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of verbal intelligence(VIQ),operational intelligence(PIQ),and total intelligence(FIQ)in both groups increased, and the observation group was higher than the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of rTMS combined with speech training in children with autism and MR can alleviate their symptoms, promote intellectual development, and improve their behavior.
