Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of acupuncture and moxibustion on the success rate of extubation and blood oxygen index in patients with ventilator assisted ventilation.Method:120 patients with respiratory failure treated with ventilator assisted ventilation in Changzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2022 to October 2024 were randomly divided into control group(60 cases)and study group(60 cases). The usage time, incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia, success rate of extubation, spontaneous breathing rate, heart rate and blood oxygen index of ventilators of the two groups were compared.Result:The ventilator usage time of the study group was shorter than that of the control group, the incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia was lower than that of the control group, and the success rate of weaning and extubation was higher than that of the control group. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the intervention in both groups, the spontaneous respiratory rate, heart rate, and partial pressure of carbon dioxide in arterial blood(PaCO2)showed a decreasing trend, while the partial pressure of oxygen in arterial blood(PaO2)showed an increasing trend. The study group was more significant, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture and moxibustion can improve the success rate of extubation of patients with ventilator assisted ventilation, and help to better promote the recovery of patients'respiratory function.
