Abstract:Objective:To explore the impact of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia(CBT-I)combined with vagal nerve stimulation on the sleep quality of patients with anxiety-related insomnia during the perioperative period.Method:The study included 92 patients with anxiety-related insomnia treated in the First People's Hospital of Huai'an from June to October 2024.Patients were randomly divided using a drawing method, with odd numbers assigned to the control group(n=46)and even numbers to the observation group(n=46).The control group received standard care, while the observation group underwent CBT-I combined with VNS.The clinical efficacy, psychological state before and after 1 weeks of treatment[Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale(GAD-7)and Patient Health Questionnaire(PHQ-9)],sleep quality[Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)],and insomnia severity[Insomnia Severity Index(ISI)]were compared between the two groups.Result:After treatment, the total efficacy rate in the observation group was higher than in the control group.Scores for GAD-7 and PHQ-9 were lower in the observation group.Scores across all dimensions of the PSQI were lower in the observation group.ISI scores were lower in the observation group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:CBT-I combined with VNS significantly improves sleep quality and psychological state in patients with anxiety-related insomnia during the perioperative period. The treatment efficacy is higher than that of CBT-I alone, showing significant improvements in anxiety, depression, and the severity of insomnia.
