The Impact of Advanced Leg Exercises on Deep Vein Thrombosis in Patients with Cerebral Hemorrhage

Abstract:Objective:To investigate the effect of advanced leg exercises on deep vein thrombosis(DVT)in patients with cerebral hemorrhage.Method:A total of 98 cerebral hemorrhage patients admitted to Jianhu County People's Hospital from December 2022 to November2024 were included in the study. The patients were divided into the control group(n=49)and the observation group(n=49)using the balloting. The control group received routine nursing care, while the observation group was additionally treated with advanced leg exercises. The coagulation function[activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),thrombin time(TT),prothrombin time(PT),fibrinogen(FBG)],hemodynamics(peak velocity and average flow rate of femoral vein),lower limb function[Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA)],daily living ability(Barthel Index),and incidence of DVT were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention.Result:After the intervention, the APTT,TT,and PT in the observation group were higher, while FBG levels were lower than those in the control group. The peak velocity and average flow rate of the femoral vein were higher in the observation group. The FMA score and Barthel index were also higher in the observation group compared to the control group. The incidence of DVT in the observation group was 4.08%,significantly lower than that of the control group(22.45%),the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Advanced leg exercises can significantly improve coagulation function, hemodynamics, lower limb function, and daily living ability in patients with cerebral hemorrhage, while reducing the incidence of DVT.This intervention has positive clinical significance.
