Efficacy of Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs in the Treatment of Subacute Thyroiditis and Their Impact on Inflammatory Indicators

Abstract：Objective:To analyze the efficacy of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the treatment of subacute thyroiditis and their impact on inflammatory indicators.Method:From August 2021 and August 2022,100 patients with subacute thyroiditis admitted to Jinchang Central Hospital were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table method.The observation group received treatment with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,while the control group received treatment with glucocorticoids,with 50 cases in each group.The treatment efficacy and changes in serum biomarkers between the two groups of patients were compared.Result:The clinical treatment efficacy of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in serum indicators such as C-reactive protein,erythrocyte sedimentation rate,free triiodothyronine,free thyroxine,and thyroid stimulating hormone between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the observation group had higher levels of thyroid stimulating hormone than the control group,while the levels of other serum biomarkers such as C-reactive protein were lower than the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The probability of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The disappearance time of symptoms in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the treatment of subacute thyroiditis can further enhance the therapeutic effect,effectively adjust abnormal serum indicators in the body,and improve patients,inflammatory indicators.
