Abstract:Objective:To explore the effect of transabdominal preperitoneal prosthesis(TAPP)in patients with inguinal hernia(IH).Method:Seventy patients with IH admitted to Guizhou Province Staff Hospital from June 2022 to January 2025 were selected and divided into the control group(tension-free repair)and the observation group(TAPP)according to the random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. Both groups were continuously observed until the patients were discharged. The surgical-related indicators, surgical stress responses, inflammatory responses and the occurrence of complications were compared between the two groups.Result:The operation time of the observation group was(60.65±5.69)min,which was shorter than that of the control group[(51.52±5.22)min].The postoperative time to get out of bed and hospital stay were(2.16±0.50)h and(5.12±0.74)d respectively, which were shorter than those of the control group[(3.11±0.56)h and(6.29±0.95)d].The intraoperative blood loss was(14.12±3.10)mL,which was less than that of the control group(20.35±4.41)mL.The postoperative malondialdehyde(MDA)level was(7.42±1.54)μmol/L,which was lower than that of the control group(8.63±1.79)μmol/L.The level of superoxide dismutase(SOD)was(70.25±8.20)U/L,which was higher than that of the control group[(65.63±7.18)U/L].The postoperative levels of serum C-reactive protein(CRP)and interleukin-6(IL-6)were(12.05±2.31)mg/L and(16.62±3.43)ng/L,respectively.Both were lower than those of the control group[(15.34±2.68)mg/L and(22.37±3.95)ng/L].The incidence of complications(5.71%)was lower than that of the control group(22.86%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of TAPP in IH patients can improve the levels of surgical-related indicators, reduce surgical stress and inflammatory responses, and also decrease the occurrence of complications.
