Abstract:Objective:To explore the application effect of percutaneous endoscopic lumbar disc herniation combined with radiofrequency ablation in lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion.Method:A total of 104 patients with lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion who visited Beijing DCN Orthopaedic Hospital from January 2021 to January 2024 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into a control group of 52 cases and an observation group of 52 cases according to different treatment methods. The control group received percutaneous puncture low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation treatment, while the observation group received percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy combined with radiofrequency ablation treatment. The therapeutic effects, functional recovery, pain relief and incidence of adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. The Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)Assessment of Treatment score,Oswestry Disability Index Questionnaire(ODI)score, and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score were determined.Result:After treatment, the therapeutic effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group, the JOA score was higher than that of the control group, the ODI and VAS scores were lower than those of the control group, and the incidence and recurrence rates of adverse reactions were both lower than those of the control group. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Percutaneous endoscopy combined with radiofrequency ablation can improve the therapeutic effect of lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion, promote pain relief and functional recovery, and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
