Abstract:Objective:To compare the application effects of paravertebral block(PVB)and stellate ganglion block(SGB)in patients undergoing radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer.Method:100 patients who underwent radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer in Honghu People's Hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the research subjects.According to different anesthesia methods, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group underwent PVB,while the observation group underwent SGB.The pain degree, hemodynamic indicators[heart rate(HR),mean arterial pressure(MAP)],cognitive function[Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale(MoCA)]and the occurrence of complications were compared between the two groups.Result:There was no statistically significant difference in the VAS pain scores of T1 to T4 between the two groups(P>0.05).The levels of HR and MAP in the observation group from T6 to T8 were all lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The MoCA score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The comparison of the total occurrence of complications between the two groups showed a statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion:Both PVB and SGB have good analgesic effects and safety in radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer. However,SGB can more effectively reduce intraoperative stress responses and improve the cognitive function of patients.
