Abstract:Objective:To explore and compare the effects of closed thoracic drainage with thin and thick tubes in the treatment of patients with spontaneous pneumothorax Method:A total of 82 patients with spontaneous pneumothorax admitted to Quanzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2019 to August 2023 were selected and divided into two groups by random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. The control group underwent closed thoracic drainage with a thick tube, while the observation group underwent closed thoracic drainage with a thin tube. The clinical efficacy, perioperative indicators, pain degree, arterial blood gas indicators and complications of the two groups were compared.Result:There was no statistically significant difference in the total effective rate of treatment between the two groups compared with the time of lung recruitment and drainage(P>0.05).The incision healing and hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group. The Visual Analogue scale pain score and the incidence of complications 3 days after the operation in the observation group were lower than those in the control group.Seven days after the operation, the partial pressure of carbon dioxide in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the partial pressure of oxygen in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:Closed thoracic drainage with a narrow tube causes less trauma,is conducive to rapid incision healing in patients with spontaneous pneumothorax after surgery, causes less pain, can improve arterial blood gas analysis in patients, and has fewer complications. It has certain application value.
