Risk Factors of Complications after Endovascular Repair of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the risk factors for postoperative complications after endovascular repair of Endovascular Aneurysm Repair(EVAR).Method:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 60 patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm(AAA)who underwent EVAR at Heyuan People's Hospital from January 2018 to November 2024.They were classified into the complication group(n=21 cases)and the non-complication group(n=39 cases)based on whether complications occurred after the operation.Baseline data of patients were collected, and the risk factors influencing postoperative complications of EVAR were analyzed through ROC and multivariate logistic regression.Result:The incidences of hypertension history, abnormal liver function and abnormal renal function in the complication group were higher than those in the non-complication group, the angulation of the proximal tumor neck was higher than that in the non-complication group, and the content of hemoglobin(Hb)was lower than that in the non-complication group. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The multivariate regression model indicated that history of hypertension, abnormal liver function, abnormal renal function, angulation of the proximal tumor neck, and Hb were risk factors affecting postoperative complications of EVAR,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).ROC analysis confirmed that angulation of the proximal tumor neck and Hb could be used to predict complications after EVAR surgery, with the areas under the curve being 0.774 and 0.738,respectively(P<0.05).Conclusion:History of hypertension, abnormal liver function, abnormal renal function, proximal tumor neck angulation>53.769°,and Hb<133.159 g/L are all risk factors affecting postoperative complications of EVAR,which can be used as a reference basis for clinical practice.
